Hailed from Melbourne, Louise Hall (B.Ed. Music, A Mus A) is a unique teacher-artist who combines her skills in music, drama and languages to produce an innovative teaching and performance style. She is also a prolific music theatre writer and composer.

Louise has worked in education and the performing arts all her life. Originally a classical flute player and secondary school music teacher, Louise has also worked as a singer, actress, writer, yoga teacher and director in Australia, Europe and the United Kingdom, including Ireland.

In 1999, her skills in French and Italian as well as her love for theatre and music led her to create the award-winning schools’ touring company Theatre LOTE Fantastique! The company brings foreign languages alive to schools through original live music theatre productions ( http://theatrelote.net.au ).

As a teacher, Louise has the innate ability to find and nurture the authentic sound and individual style of each student.

As a performer, Louise has acted and sung in English, French and Italian (classical, folk and music theatre) and continues to explore singing in other languages. She played flute and sang in the Melbourne jazz trio Ménage à Trois and has fond memories of playing Vivaldi on flute for a fashion house opening in Florence!

Louise has recently added another string to her “bow” as an English teacher to international students, once again bringing creativity, language, music and drama into an innovative classroom atmosphere.
